you can indeed find a shiny ditto using the run away method

For anyone else wanting to hunt this you can also run away from the ditto and re-encounter it or you can soft reset. Just found one using the run away method.

I bought a Japanese copy of soul silver yesterday, around 6 hours later I successfully got my hands on a shiny dratini from the game corner, watching all these videos shows me really how lucky I am to get it within 1,000 purchases, great video!

I’m currently doing my playthrough of Crystal in which I will go on to get a full shiny Johto living dex (help me). I did the odd egg hunt and did a duplication trick to be able to get multiple and managed to get a shiny Elekid and Igglybuff before I messed up and didn’t save right. I also got all 3 starters instead of hunting for just one, that way I could easily breed for shinies to go towards my dex. This video (and the Gold and Silver one) are very helpful! I’ve played Silver and didn’t even know about the Dratini gift pokemon. It might be one I shiny hunt just for the fun of it
